I’m not even going to think about how long it’s been since I’ve posted anything here. To say that 2017 didn’t quite go to plan would be a little bit of an understatement and everything that wasn’t immediately important got pushed to one side and basically forgotten about. I’m finally feeling like I have time to sit down, breathe and take stock of everything that’s happened in the last 7 or 8 months.

The cliffnotes version of it is:

  • My mum got diagnosed with breast cancer – but is in remission as of Christmas Eve
  • Paul & I got married in the summer.
  • We moved house, because of
  • We welcomed baby #2 into the world in November. A little boy called Harry.

Things, as you can imagine, have been a little hectic – but for the most part it’s all been very positive and very exciting.

That brings me to today. I picked up my computer for the first time in 2 or 3 months, checked my emails, updated my goodreads and now here I am blogging. Paul is in his chair watching football, Chloe is taking up as much floor space as possible doing some colouring in, Harry is asleep on my chest and Taylor Swift is singing my ears. It’s about as perfect as it can get right now.

I’ve been doing a lot of taking stock of my life, of figuring out who I am and who I want to be. I lost myself somewhere in all the chaos so my main goal for 2018 is to redefine who Tabby is. And hopefully you’ll be joining on me on this journey of re-discovery

I kind of forgot I had one of these until I was catching up on emails earlier this evening and had a WordPress notification so I’m thinking May

(I’m not even entirely sure where April went. I don’t feel like I actually achieved anything during the month. One minute it was March and now it’s May.)

is going to be a kind of reboot and see if I can find some kind of rhythm or routine to posting here. I feel that as a trainee blogger of sorts, I should find a more experienced one to teach me the ropes, some kind of WordPress <a href=”https://dailypost.wordpress.com/prompts/apprentice/”>Apprenticeship</a&gt; scheme.

Is there anything like that available?
Because that would be really useful. I’m not very good at figuring things like this out. Give me a nice instruction set, a how-to, a dummies guide and I’ll be fine. Something where I have to work it out for myself, not even a strting place and I don’t know where to start. I’m feeling floundery and that’s probably not helping with the issues of not posting and not being here.
